Captain's Story

Dear Team,

I hope we are all in high spirits and filled with pride for the incredible victory we achieved in the YMCA Salver Cup Final against Adamstown 2.

This historic win marks the first time our club has lifted the T20 Cup, and it is a moment we will forever cherish. Scoring a whopping 238 runs in 20 overs was an astounding accomplishment, and I would like to give a special shoutout to Fawaz for his unbeaten century.

It was a truly memorable innings that showcased your exceptional talent and determination. Great start of the innings by Naveed and Sethi along with great middle order show by Kayani and outstanding finishing showcased by Jeet.

The bowlers also played a crucial role in our success. Naveed &  Anjum showcased exceptional talent and ensured that the opposition struggled to reach our formidable score.

Sethi's surprising bowling spell was particularly noteworthy and deserving of applause.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your dedication and hard work throughout this tournament.

Your unwavering commitment to excellence is what made this achievement possible. You have all shown true sportsmanship, teamwork, and a never-give-up attitude, which brought us to victory.

Let us not forget that this victory was a collective effort. It was the result of our combined skills, unity, and relentless pursuit of success. Each player contributed their best, whether it was with the bat, the ball, or in the field.

As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us also acknowledge the support and encouragement we received from our Club Management and from our Families, also from all those who stood behind us as their unwavering belief in our abilities fueled our motivation and spurred us on to victory.

I am immensely proud to be Captain of this team, and I consider each and every one of you a true champion. Let this win serve as a reminder of what we can achieve when we work together towards a goal.

We have made history for Castleknock Cricket Club, and I have no doubt that there will be many more glorious victories in the future. Once again, congratulations on this magnificent triumph. Enjoy this moment of glory, and let us continue to strive for greatness in our future tournaments.
